Meet Buddy — Your Gentle, Golden-Hearted Companion Hi there… my name is Buddy. I’m about 10 years young, weigh around 70 pounds, and my people say I’m one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. Life changed for me unexpectedly when my owner passed away, but a kind-hearted friend stepped in and promised to help me find a loving home. I’m holding onto that promise I’m a gentle, affectionate boy who truly loves people. No warm-up period needed—it’s instant friendship with me! I’m what you’d call a social butterfly. I enjoy meeting new people, making dog friends, and soaking up all the love I can get. A little about me: * I enjoy nice, easy walks (up to a mile these days—go me!) * I’m currently living with other dogs and do well with them * I’ve lived with cats before—very curious, but respectful * I’m not a big barker, but I do like to “chat” a little * I LOVE sunshine… give me a warm spot and I’m a happy guy * And yes… I am absolutely a couch cuddler I’ve made incredible progress with my mobility since being in my foster home. I’m on medications and supplements that help keep me comfortable, and I’m feeling so much better. I can handle a few stairs now, but a home without lots of stairs (or with a ramp) would be ideal for me. Because I’m a mature gentleman, I’d do best in a calm home without toddlers or very young children. I just prefer a quieter environment where I can relax and feel secure. A home with another mellow, sweet senior dog like me? That could be really nice. I don’t need a super active lifestyle—but I do need someone who will keep me moving with daily walks and include me in their life. I don’t want to be alone for long hours… I’ve been through a lot, and I just want to be near my people. I do have some decreased night vision (pretty common for us seniors), and I’ll need a family committed to continuing my care so I can stay comfortable and happy. What I’m really looking for… A kind, patient home. Someone who sees the beauty in a senior dog. Someone who will save me a spot on the couch and in their heart.
