About Bella
Bella is a 5-year-old brown Dachshund in Gulfport, MS, looking for a soft landing after the loss of her longtime owner. She’s lived with dogs—including her own puppies—and has done fine in a pack. Bella has also been around children and handled it well. She isn’t destructive, loves being involved with family, and needs some ongoing help with housebreaking and routines. Formal obedience training hasn’t happened, so she’ll benefit from a patient adopter willing to guide her as she settles in. Her protective streak comes out if unfamiliar dogs enter her yard, but she’s never bitten. Bella’s been known to try to slip out of fencing, so a secure yard is important. She currently eats Ol' Roy dog food. Her vaccinations are up to date, but her new family will want to set her up with regular vet care and heartworm prevention. Bella’s affection and resilience shine even after a big loss—she’s ready for someone who can offer steadiness and lots of care. (Bella was born on November 9, 2020, making her a loyal and comfort-seeking Scorpio.) Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
