🐶 Basics ● Dog’s Name: Dandy. Dandelion. Fine & Dandy. Dandrew Charlamagne Tootlington the Fourth. ● Age / Size: 4 years, 56lbs ● Rescued in Texas after his owner could no longer care for him 💙 Foster Note He really is the sweetest boy and he has the most hysterical grin when he sees you (think Chandler Bing in front of the camera). He has also clearly been trained to redirect his excitement so he will go grab a toy and bring it over for you to play. He is rarely seen without his pink bunny in his mouth. Might occasionally wake you up while you’re napping by placing the pink bunny on your head. His size makes it look like he’s a small pony especially when he’s about to settle down. Belly rubs are a must and he will paw at you if you try and take a break. But that’s on you for pausing, who pauses mid belly rubs?? You can usually tell where he is in the apartment based on the thumping noise his tail makes. He’s almost never not happy. 💛 Personality Snapshot ● Describe in 3–5 words: Loving, happy, curious, gentle. ● Energy level (Low / Moderate / High): Moderate ● More people‑oriented or independent? Both, loves people but can also chill on his own for hours. ● How do they handle new situations? Really really well. He just needs love and either one fluffy toy or a ball. He has got multiple baths and his nails done and he handled everything like a champ. 🐕 Social & Home Life ● How are they with people (adults/kids/new people)? Curious about new people and loves everyone. ● How are they with other dogs? Loves all dogs, super chill. ● Cats or other animals (if known)? One dog, cavapoo and they got along well immediately. ● Behavior when left alone or when guests visit: Sleeps or if guests visit, starts wagging nonstop. 🎓 Training & Manners ● Potty trained? Yes ● Crate trained? Not sure, we don’t have a crate big enough for him. ● Leash skills: He’s getting better with every walk! Always happy to be out and about NYC. ● Commands known (if any): Sit. 🌞 Daily Life ● Typical day with you: Morning walk, breakfast, cuddles, immediate nap, then afternoon/evening walk around town. Dinner, playtime, more napping. He definitely thinks he’s a lapdog and will try to snuggle with you on the couch even though he is the length of the couch. ● Exercise needs: Minimal? Just needs his usual walks ● Favorite activities or toys: 🌱 Growth Areas ● Anything they’re still working on? Walking on the leash, sometimes he gets nervous meeting strangers in the elevator. ● What helps them succeed? Practice! It’s only day 4 so far and he’s great with everything else! 🏡 Ideal Home ● Only dog / With dog / Either: Either! ● Good fit for apartment living? Yes! ● Best type of household (active, moderate, calm): Any! ● What kind of adopter would be the best match? Someone who likes big dogs! Ideally someone who is able to WFH a few days in the week so he gets love and cuddles. He doesn’t mind being alone but he’s been through so much, so he needs cuddles. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
