About Koala

Koala’s story starts with resilience. This young cat was scooped up by an independent rescuer in late 2021, and her life took another sharp turn a year ago when her original rescuer passed away. Koala came out of a hoarding situation, where dozens of cats needed new beginnings. Despite all that, she’s held onto her spark. Koala comes off a bit shy but quickly becomes comfortable, curious, and likes to poke around the room. You might find her chasing brooms or mops as you clean—she’s never one to turn down an adventure, especially if canned food is the reward. This Abyssinian/Tabby mix is smart, energetic, and quirky; she flops to grab your attention, loves a good cuddle, and always brings some comic relief. Her loyal, gentle, and brave personality will quietly win you over. Koala does well with both cats and dogs, though she has yet to meet children. At just over four and a half years old, she’s mellow enough to blend into daily life but lively enough to keep things interesting. She’s ready for a home in Hemet, CA, where her curiosity and affection will be appreciated. Koala is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, house trained, and waiting for the person who’ll make her part of the family. As a fun fact, born on August 15th, Koala is a Leo—so don’t be surprised if she brings a little confident flair to the household. Start your journey together! Apply now.
