About Abel
Abel and his brother Kane came into rescue shy and sick, but Abel has blossomed since. He’s a reserved domestic short hair/Bombay mix with a solid black coat, about five years old and living in Hemet, CA. Abel gravitates to quiet corners and holds back until he feels secure, but that changes once he trusts you—out come the affectionate nuzzles and the gentle companionship. He enjoys calm routines and can sit entranced by nature documentaries for hours (which, frankly, is adorable). His favorite spot is the cat tree, where he naps or keeps watch from a comfy perch. Abel would do best in a relaxed home where he can settle in on his own timetable, ideally with someone patient who appreciates a quieter, observant cat. He’s lived with other cats, kittens, and a large dog with no issues, but hasn’t interacted with kids. Abel is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, house trained, and available for foster-to-adopt. Fun fact: Born March 18, Abel is a Pisces—sensitive, mellow, and quietly affectionate. Ready to meet a cat who prefers peace to commotion and rewards patience with genuine connection?
