About Wyatt
Wyatt is a gentle, laid-back hound mix who’s already seen his share of tough times. After being found lost, overheated, and covered in fleas, he finally landed in the hands of a caring foster. Wyatt wasted no time showing his easygoing, affectionate nature. Quickly settling in, he picked up house training and crate manners, proving he thrives with routine. He enjoys the company of both dogs and cats and has a soft spot for his people—especially those who like to relax nearby. Wyatt bonds closely but isn’t needy, always happiest when someone’s around to share the day. He loves car rides and long, meandering walks but doesn’t need constant action. You’ll find him snoozing or sunbathing almost as much as you’ll see him trotting around the yard. He’s highly food-motivated, so his adopter should help him stay on track with walks and a smart feeding routine. Wyatt’s vision is reduced in one eye from a past injury, but it never slows him down. He manages stairs, couches, and walks without trouble—he might need a helping hand with SUVs or higher jumps, especially until he sheds a bit of weight. When it’s bedtime, he settles into his bed and sleeps deeply all night. Wyatt is best for someone with a flexible schedule who’ll enjoy his companionship and patience. He gets along with other mellow dogs and does well on leash, never pulling much. Toys aren’t his thing, but a sturdy chew keeps him busy. Wyatt deserves a safe home for his golden years, where his loyal, sweet personality can shine. Wyatt is located in Arlington, VA, and open to foster or foster-to-adopt.
