About Lilo
Lilo is a 5-year-old mixed hound and pit bull terrier who absolutely adores her canine companion, Nova. They’ve spent years together and are inseparable, so their family hopes they will be adopted as a pair. Lilo is playful, affectionate, and loves to be around people—including children she already knows. Her friendly, alert nature makes her a lively presence at home, though she can get a bit excited and may jump when greeting new visitors. She’s completely crate trained and has never bitten anyone. Lilo does well with other dogs, especially those she’s lived with. She isn’t suited for a home with small animals, as she has a strong prey drive and enjoys chasing mice when encouraged. She’s responsive to training cues, especially if you cheer her on. Guests can safely take food or toys from her, showing her easygoing temperament. A few years ago, Lilo had a spiral fracture in her back leg and now has a metal rod, but she’s fully recovered and has been cleared by her vet. She’s spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and currently living both indoors and outdoors. Lilo is based in Woodland, CA, and is being rehomed directly by her family (not Yolo County Animal Services). Ready to welcome a sweet, bonded pair into your home? What are you waiting for?
