This could be the start of something paw-some. Soulful Emma is ready for her fresh start! Emma is estimated to be around 7-8 years old, and she is a loving girl who is happiest when she can be on someone's lap. She is the epitome of a darling little old lady, and she is ready to spend her golden years being spoiled like the little princess she is. Emma currently weighs about 7lbs, but could benefit from gaining a little weight. Emma came from a difficult situation and is grateful to be given another chance after overcoming a heart condition called Patent Ductus Arteriosus, which has now been fully treated. With her mellow attitude and love for simple pleasures, Emma enjoys tasty food, cuddles, and sunbathing. She thrives as a true lap dog, being the center of attention, and would make a wonderful companion for a retired person seeking a low-energy friend. While she enjoys short walks, she much prefers being cozy at home. Emma gets along well with other small, mellow dogs and could live with a dog-savvy cat after a careful introduction. However, she especially loves being the only pet so she can be the star of the home. Due to her delicate size, an adult-only household would be best. Emma is doing well with her housetraining and may have a few accidents as she adjusts to her new environment. She's comfortable both in a crate and sleeping in bed with her person, and she'd be happy living in an apartment. She does have a few ongoing health issues, such as dental disease and mild luxating patellas, but she doesn't need ongoing treatment for her heart condition after her successful surgery. Emma has shown incredible resilience and is ready for a family to give her the pampered life she deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
