Rocky is a flat coated retriever and, at about 6 years old (born January 1—he’s a steadfast Capricorn!), has the kind of calm, loving presence that makes you want to sit down next to him and stay awhile. His long, black coat with soft cream highlights and affectionate nature make him a wonderful companion. He’s incredibly cuddly, affectionate, and gentle with both people and other dogs. Rocky isn’t high-energy or demanding—he’s happiest just hanging out in the yard, soaking up fresh air, and being near his people. No long hikes required, just good company and a soft spot to land. This sweet boy is not a fan of kennels and thrives in a home with a yard where he can stretch out and relax. Rocky is heartworm positive, but has just completed fast-kill treatment and will be retested in November (with continued care supported by the rescue if needed).
