Meet Willow! Willow is a striking 2-year-old Chessie and German Shepherd mix with a steady, devoted personality. Once Willow connects with her person, she sticks close—whether you’re out exploring or relaxing at home, she’s happiest at your side. She’s whip smart and wants to please. Willow already knows quite a few obedience commands, is crate-trained, house-trained, and polite around the house. Fetch is her favorite, but she’s also always up for a hike or some one-on-one attention (you’ll win her over fast with a good back scratch). Leash walks with Willow go well when she’s with an experienced, confident handler. She’s shown real progress in foster care, but she can still be wary of other dogs when out and about, so she’ll need someone willing to help her keep building confidence. Her rescue will even cover a session with a trainer for her new family. Willow looks for an adult-only home (or kids 13+), and she’ll likely do best either as the only dog or with a careful, slow introduction to a well-matched canine friend.
