Hi my name is Toffee and I'm from Minnesota! Meet Toffee Toffee is an incredibly sweet, gentle soul who has been making wonderful progress in his foster home. He gets along beautifully with other animals-both cats and dogs-and has a very tolerant, easygoing nature, even when they get a little too close for comfort. With people, Toffee is a bit more cautious. He's a sensitive boy who needs time and patience to feel safe. Loud noises and fast movements can still make him nervous, but once he trusts you, his true personality shines through. He becomes the ultimate cuddle buddy-a total love bug and certified couch potato who lives for snuggles. Toffee would do best in a calm, understanding home that can give him the time he needs to build confidence. He seems to feel most comfortable around women, while men may need to take things slowly to earn his trust. Because of his gentle and somewhat timid nature, a quieter household without young, high-energy children may be ideal (though his experience with kids is unknown). He enjoys walks, but as a tripod pup, his stamina is limited. Short strolls are his favorite, and sometimes he may need a break or even a lift to get back home. Despite this, he still loves getting out and exploring at his own pace. Toffee prefers being out and about in the home rather than confined to a kennel, where he can get anxious. He's happiest curled up on a cozy bed or the couch, close to his people. This special boy has so much love to give and is just waiting for the right person to see how truly wonderful he is. Saying goodbye will be incredibly hard-he's left a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who know him-but nothing would make us happier than seeing him find the forever home he deserves.
