About Apollo

Apollo is a mellow, older Rottweiler who takes life at his own pace. About 8 years old, he comes fully vaccinated and has no heartworm concerns. The foster reports he’s rock-solid with house training—no accidents, ever. If he needs to go outside, he heads straight for the door. Crate training? Done—with a treat, he’ll stroll right in, and he spends nights quietly without fuss. Apollo is equally content roaming the house solo, not needing to be crated when left alone. On leash, he moves easy and doesn’t jump up on people. When guests stop by, he’s calm and unfazed. He shares politely—no guarding of food or toys—and has shown a gentle, sweet side, often resting his head on your lap or nudging for just a bit more attention. Thunder or vacuum don’t bother him. He’s most comfortable being low key indoors, snoozing on his orthopedic bed, and doesn’t care to linger outside. Apollo knows commands like “sit,” “leave it,” and “wait,” and he’ll show his manners at mealtime. He’s been nonreactive to other dogs, but hasn’t met cats yet. Grooming and handling are easy, though fecal exams aren’t his favorite. Barking is rare—except maybe at birds. Apollo is ready for a soft spot to land and an easygoing home where he can just be himself. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
