About Penny Shep Mix
Penny Shep Mix came in from a tough start—she was found far out in the country just before St. Patrick’s Day, huddled with her mom and sister. Thanks to a caring neighbor who kept them fed, Penny now has her shot at a new life. At about six months old, she's a beautiful blend of German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever, with a soft, cinnamon roll coat that's mostly brown and black and a sleek, short-haired look. Penny shows real potential with kids, doing especially well with gentle, respectful youngsters, and she’s already demonstrated a gentle, friendly attitude with other dogs—she’s even a bit submissive with her sister. With a little guidance, she could adapt to a home with cats too. Penny’s temperament is an easy mix of sweet and calm, coupled with attentive devotion that makes her always eager to be near people. She needs someone with a flexible schedule to help her grow: training, exercise, and socialization are key for her. Penny would thrive in a household where the focus is on including her in daily life—she’s most content around caring humans and would do well with an adopter or foster who’s ready for an active, loving young pup. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
