But this extraordinary girl chose to keep going. With a fractured pelvis, a fractured front leg, and unimaginable pain, she still looked to humans with hope. And today? She’s walking again. She’s the kind of dog who leans in for comfort, whose eyes speak volumes, and whose quiet strength will move you to tears. She’s made incredible progress through physical therapy and is blossoming into a playful, loving companion. She loves her walks and trots proudly at your side, soaking up every scent and every moment. She gazes out the window, ears in the wind, as if she’s remembering how far she’s come. Agave gets along beautifully with most other dogs and has a soft spot for calm, structured homes. She’s mostly housebroken and does her best to communicate when she needs to go out. She knows basic commands, offers a paw when asked, and wants nothing more than to make her people proud. After everything she’s endured, Agave deserves a peaceful, predictable place to continue healing—ideally with women or older children who will give her the space and patience to feel safe. Loud, fast movements still worry her, especially from men, but she’s learning that love can be quiet, steady, and safe.
