Archie
AvailableArchie is a small adult male mixed-breed dog—a unique blend of chihuahua and puggle. He has been neutered and his vaccinations are current. While living at Raining Cats and Dogs Shelter and Sanctuary, Inc., Archie has shown that he is friendly, affectionate, and playful. He is believed to be house trained, but adopters should allow for a transition period as he adjusts to a new home.
About Archie
Start your journey together! Apply now. Archie is a truly special boy with a lot of love to give, but he does come with his own unique quirks. Rescued from a local county shelter where he was previously marked "rescue only" due to his temperament, Archie has shown that he can be very friendly with volunteers—provided things are on his terms. For routine care like vaccinations, sedation is sometimes needed to safely handle him. This pup’s adorable face and affectionate nature will easily win you over, and he’s searching for a chihuahua-savvy, experienced owner who knows how to navigate a few behavioral quirks. For his safety and comfort, a fenced yard is a must since leashing or harnessing him right away isn’t possible. Archie has shown that he prefers female company and is looking for a home without men or children. While he seems to be close to house trained, patience and grace will be required during his transition as he adapts to a new environment and routine. If you think Archie might be a perfect fit for your family, the shelter welcomes your application and patience during the process. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
