Pebbles
AvailablePebbles is a small, red merle Chihuahua with a short coat currently living in Prince Frederick, MD. She’s an adult female and has been spayed, with vaccinations up to date. Pebbles is not house trained due to a neurological condition, which is considered a special need, and she wears diapers indoors to help manage this. She’ll need a home committed to her ongoing care and her prescription diet to keep her healthy.
About Pebbles
Pebbles is a 5.5-pound Chihuahua with a tender, goofy spirit who will easily become your constant companion. She has a neurological condition causing her to walk with a charming wobble that only makes her more endearing. Pebbles loves to stick close to her people, happily curling up on laps and keeping up with both humans and canine friends. Due to her condition, she needs a home without stairs or with safety gates, and she wears diapers indoors as she doesn't have full bladder or bowel control—but she takes it all in stride, prancing through life with joy. Recently, she had bladder stones removed and will need to stick to a prescription diet for her health. After having one eye removed, she’s adjusted seamlessly and doesn’t let it slow her down. What Pebbles needs most is a patient, compassionate home that can provide her with extra care and plenty of love. In return, she’ll offer unwavering loyalty, warmth, and a steady supply of affection. If you feel drawn to giving a special-needs pup a chance, Pebbles is ready to meet you. Her ideal adoptive family would be in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Ready to fall in love? Questions about Pebbles
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas like Pebbles generally thrive indoors, in a calm environment where they aren’t exposed to major temperature changes. An apartment or house with attentive owners suits her well, especially since Pebbles needs a home without stairs or with safety gates due to her condition.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Pebbles and most Chihuahuas do well with regular walks and playtime, but they don’t require a large yard. A secure, flat area for supervised outdoor breaks will be enough for her.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can be good with children if interactions are gentle. Pebbles is noted to get along with children, but she’ll need supervision with young kids due to her small size and special needs.
