Baloo and his brother were found curled up together inside a flower pot on a night that was near 20 degrees. That was their shelter. That was their plan. Somehow, these babies made it through that cold, and we were able to get them to safety before they had to face another freezing night. Now Baloo is warm, safe, and in foster care learning what it means to be a puppy with a future. Baloo is about 12 weeks old, a deep chocolate brown (so dark he can look black sometimes), and he is solid colored from nose to tail. He’s also got those big puppy paws that scream “full size running buddy in training.” If you want a dog you can raise into your adventure partner and your best friend, Baloo is the kind of pup you can build that life with. Baloo is currently working on potty training and leash skills, and he’s at that magical age where learning happens fast when you keep it consistent and kind. Quick puppy truth, said with love: Puppies are puppies. They need training. They chew. They have accidents. They have big feelings and little attention spans. But they also give the best puppy breath kisses, the best goofy hops, and the kind of joy that fills a house. Baloo does not need to be adopted with his brother. He’s ready to bond with his own family and have a home where he will never again have to live in survival mode.
