About Nachito
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Nachito—a beautiful soul just waiting for his special person. He joined the PAWs to Prison program uncertain about the world, bearing small scars that hint at a tough beginning. Because of this, Nachito can be timid in busy or crowded environments, but underneath, he is a remarkable dog ready to blossom with the right companion. As a Carolina Dog (also known as an American Dingo), Nachito is incredibly loyal once a bond is formed, and the connection is truly meaningful. While he may take some time to warm up, his trust is worth every moment. Nachito is fun and playful, adores other dogs, has loads of energy, and is both athletic and quick on his feet—making him an ideal friend for someone who has an active lifestyle. He shines during walks in open spaces and is well-behaved on a leash. Indoors, his gentler side emerges as he cherishes cuddles and closeness with his person. Nachito already knows commands like sit, lay down, wait, and heel, and he is potty trained outside of his kennel. Most importantly, he has never shown aggression—just a sensitive, open heart learning to feel safe again. He is searching for a patient and understanding home that will provide the reassurance, time, and kindness he needs to come fully out of his shell. In return, you will gain a deeply loyal and loving companion who will be wholly devoted to you. He is not just looking for a home—he is looking for his soulmate. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
