About Ashton
Ashton is a 4 year and 11 month old Yellow Labrador Retriever with a big heart and an even bigger personality. After spending his whole life with one family, he came back to the shelter when they moved, so he’s learning how to cope and adjust to shelter life. Even with this shake-up, Ashton stays cheerful and energetic, always up for a game of fetch—he’ll happily chase a ball and bring it right back for another throw. He thrives on activity and time with people, but sometimes forgets just how large he is, so expect an enthusiastic companion who might barrel in for attention. He’s done well with other dogs at the shelter, showing he’s social and enjoys canine company. Ashton is heartworm positive; the shelter will provide treatment, but he’ll need an adopter who’ll keep up with his monthly heartworm prevention and regular vet care to keep him on track. Ashton’s biggest wish is for a stable, committed family who’ll give him a true sense of home and stick by him for life. He’s located in Gainesville, TX, and transport can be arranged anywhere in the U.S. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
