About Hank Iv
Hank IV is a 4-year-old Yellow Lab and Great Pyrenees mix with soft ears, calm eyes, and a constant request for belly rubs. On first meeting, he flops over for scratches and wins hearts easily. Hank is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and healthy. He’s a gentle, affectionate, and goofy companion with a low to moderate energy level—he looks forward to daily walks, a game of tug-of-war, and then total lounging. Deeply attached to his people, Hank needs to be the only pet in a calm, adult-only home, as he hasn’t had much practice with other animals and is now anxious around children since a baby arrived in his prior home. He finds comfort in quiet, predictable routines. He’s house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, plus he’s been through board-and-train, knows his manners, and responds to sit, stay, and place. Hank rides well in the car, doesn’t chew or bark much, and stays off the furniture. He’s best for adopters who can offer reassurance, consistency, and a peaceful household. It’s an extremely tough choice for his current owners, but Hank needs this environment to truly relax and thrive. Whoever welcomes him will get a loyal, funny, gentle, well-mannered companion.
