About Biggie

Hi there! I'm Biggie! Don't let my name fool you! While I'm a sturdy little guy with a whole lot of love to give, I'm not quite as BIG as my name might lead you to believe. You could say I'm more of a Biggie Smalls! But what I lack in height, I more than make up for in heart, personality, and my appreciation for a good snack! I'm a pretty laid-back fellow who doesn't need to be the center of attention. I'm perfectly happy hanging out by your side, soaking up pets, listening to you tell me how handsome I am, and enjoying a tasty treat or two. Speaking of treats, I do have my favorites, so don't be offended if I'm a little picky! I'm a gentleman on the leash, I know my sit and paw commands and even wait until we get outside to take care of my business. I enjoy going out for walks, sniffing around, and exploring at my own pace. But my favorite part of the day might just be spending time with my people. Give me some sweet talk, a few scratches, and a little attention, and you'll probably see my tail wagging away! I especially love a good butt scratch, too! I've also had the opportunity to meet some other dogs here at the shelter and have done well in playgroups. I'm still getting to know my canine preferences, so the humans can help determine what kind of doggy companion might be a good match for me. One thing we do know is that a home with cats isn't in the cards for me. If you're looking for a big, gentle companion who will be happy just being near you, enjoying the simple things in life, and occasionally reminding you that snack time is always a good idea, I might be your guy! I'm ready to trade shelter life for a cozy home, a family of my own, and a lifetime of love and ear scratches. Could you be the one I've been waiting for? If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your dog’s adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Heartworm Tested - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $135.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
