About Arlo
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Arlo is a gentle soul whose story truly touches the heart. Once adopted as a puppy and cherished in a home for years, Arlo has now returned to the rescue—older, wiser, and still brimming with unconditional love. At 8 years old, this Shepherd mix is calm, well-mannered, and 100% potty trained, but he's been through a tough adjustment period, especially around men. Because of this, Arlo is searching for a quiet home led by women, or perhaps a very patient and gentle man who understands that trust can take time. He needs a peaceful environment without other pets, no young kids, and no frequent visitors so he can finally relax and thrive. Arlo might be shy initially, but once he trusts you, he becomes deeply loyal and affectionate, absolutely adoring snuggles and kisses. He's looking for someone ready to offer patience, kindness, and the space to settle in at his own pace, and in return, he'll give all the love his big heart can share. To help Arlo find the perfect home, his adoption fee is completely sponsored for an approved adopter. He deserves a gentle landing, a loving heart, and a true second chance. Are you the one to offer Arlo the home he’s been waiting for? Think you are the one? Submit an application!

While Shepherd mixes appreciate access to a yard, they can also do well in homes without large outdoor spaces as long as they receive daily walks and playtime. Regular exercise is important for their wellbeing.
