About Apollo Trained Dog
Apollo arrived in the program via a caring finder in central Florida. He’s just about a year old, still very much a young dog. Apollo’s early months were rough—kept isolated in a small crate, deprived of company and left to sit in his own mess. After his rescue, a dedicated foster family helped him regain his health, but the tough beginnings left Apollo cautious in new situations. At the prison training program, the noise and commotion overwhelm him, especially the gun range nearby, which scares him daily. Despite all that, Apollo stands out for his gentle and sweet temperament. Around people he trusts, he turns into an affectionate companion. He blossoms most in quiet spaces where he feels safe; a backyard brings out his playful streak, and he loves a good sprint across the grass. Apollo keeps to himself when alarmed but prefers to hide rather than confront. Sometimes he’ll let out a worried bark at people in hats or sunglasses, but he warms up quickly—especially if you’re holding a treat. He’s lived peacefully in a foster home with two toddlers, never showing aggression and totally fine with children. Apollo gets along well with other dogs. What he needs is stability, gentle encouragement, and a home with a privacy fence where he can unwind and play without pressure. He isn’t cut out for busy walks or bustling areas; quiet security matters most. Watch Apollo thrive when you give him space to open up and go at his own pace.
