About Willy
Willy is a big, young German Shepherd with a big heart to match. At roughly 7–9 months old, he still has classic puppy energy and a lot of growing left to do, both in size and personality. Willy spent his first weeks after rescue with a dog trainer, learning basic skills and getting time to decompress—he’s since proven himself great with people of all ages and especially gets along with other dogs. Although he can be shy when meeting new faces, it doesn’t last long before his sweetness starts to show. He does well with kids and would be happiest in an active home that appreciates just how much play, structure, and mental stimulation a young shepherd needs. Willy needs someone ready for long walks, hikes, and ongoing training—he’s quick to learn and eager to be involved. He’s not yet fully house trained and will need continued guidance, but he’s already making big strides in manners. His past was rough—abandoned for two weeks in a hotel room—but it’s only made him more resilient and loving. Smart, affectionate, and loyal, Willy is looking for someone who understands the joys (and energetic workload) of raising a large-breed puppy. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
