About Hobbes
Hobbes is an orange and white cuddle enthusiast who lives for constant company and believes the best place to be is right on top of his favorite person. Named after the famous tiger from Calvin and Hobbes, he channels that same playful, oversized character and is always ready to be involved in every part of your day. Consider him your shadow—he follows you from room to room, claims your lap the minute you sit, and prefers you never go to the bathroom alone. Hobbes wakes up early and fully expects you to join him, using every bit of his charm (and weight) to make sure you’re up on his schedule. This guy is playful, endlessly curious, and happiest when climbing high or dashing after toys. He needs sturdy cat trees and safe spots to perch, along with a home that pays attention because Hobbes loves to try and sneak out the door. He gets along with other cats and dogs if introduced slowly, but his confidence can border on pushy. With cats he likes, he’s all-in, but if he decides one isn’t to his taste, he won’t hold back. When it comes to dogs, Hobbes can be affectionate but on his own terms, and he’s known to test boundaries, so confident animal companions or a solo setup would work best. He’s suited to families with older kids and teens who understand boisterous, grabby affection. Small children aren’t a great fit, as Hobbes can get extra excited when he’s feeling loving. Of note: his tail is shorter than most, a souvenir from a past injury, but he shows no sign that it bothers him now. Tested, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Hobbes is ready to claim your couch—and your attention—all day, every day. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
