"Stormy is a playful, affectionate, and handsome 1 year old cat who is so ready to find his forever home! Stormy came to Kitten Angels with bite wounds in his hindquarters so severe that his back end had become paralyzed. Using his front legs, he dragged himself into a trap set with food, and that let Kitten Angels get him the veterinary care he so desperately needed. Thanks to the miracle of antibiotics and rest, Stormy is now healed and healthy, with four strong legs, and is as agile as any cat you've met. Although Stormy was terrified when he first came to Kitten Angels, in only a month in a foster home he blossomed into a friendly and affectionate cat! He is full of purrs and trills, and will have a conversation of friendly meows back and forth with a human. Once he's decided you're trustworthy, he is an enthusiastic lap cat, and will hop into your lap and settle in for a long stay. He loves to be held, and will snuggle purring into your arms. He even let his foster mom trim his nails! Stormy is on the smaller side, more like the size of an older kitten. He is a sweet armful. It truly seems like he appreciates that after a very rough start, he's on the path to the good life! Stormy loves to play with cat balls, toy mice, and wand toys. He loves lying on his back and looking at the world upside down, appreciates the view out the window, and also loves a high perch. He hopes someone out there has a cat tree with his name on it! At the moment, Stormy still thinks feet walking near him are scary and he's easily startled by unexpected sounds. He's come SO far in terms of realizing there are humans who are kind, and whoever adopts him will get to enjoy watching him truly learn to trust and feel safe. He seems curious and friendly when he hears the foster family's cat mewing from the other side of his door, so we think Stormy might do well with a cat friend or two after he's had time to settle into his new home. He would do best in a home where life is on the quiet and predictable side, with only adults, older kids/teens, maybe a mellow dog. We rely solely on fostering, volunteers, donations, and adoption fees. An adoption fee of $175.00 must be paid at the time of adoption by either cash or check. All of our adoptable animals are assessed in foster homes, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
