About Augie
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Augie is a 1.5–2-year-old Border Collie mix currently thriving in his foster home, where he’s learning the ins and outs of being a wonderful companion. He’s impressively smart, already mastering useful skills like ringing a bell to go outside and practicing polite manners, such as calmly waiting for his meals and for his leash to be put on or taken off. Augie is always up for new experiences, even trying frozen blueberries and green beans as special treats! Playtime is a highlight for Augie—he’s a big fan of hide-and-seek with his plush toys and delights in making learning fun. Nights are easy with this pup, as he sleeps quietly in his crate until he’s ready for a new day. While Augie can be a bit hesitant with new people, patience and gentle introductions help him warm up beautifully. He does especially well with older, respectful children, and his compatibility with cats is still unknown. If you’re hoping to welcome a smart, playful, and incredibly loyal friend into your home, Augie might just be the perfect fit for you. Fun fact: Augie’s birthday falls under the sign of Cancer, meaning he’s likely to be extra loving and devoted to his family. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
