Adele
AvailableAdele is a young, medium-sized shepherd/terrier mix living in Brick, NJ. She is a spayed female, about 7 months old, with all of her vaccinations up to date. Adele is dog-friendly, energetic, and still learning the ropes when it comes to house training.
About Adele
Adele came to the rescue from an overcrowded shelter, and she’s landed here looking for a fresh start. At just 7 months, this shepherd/terrier mix already tips the scales at about 30 lbs. She brings youthful energy, curiosity, and a huge appetite for play. Adele thrives around other dogs and would be happiest joining a home with a social canine friend—someone to help her burn off energy and settle into routines. Like most pups her age, Adele isn’t quite housebroken yet, so be ready for some patience and continued training. She’ll need a busy, active home—ideally with a fenced yard, since zoomies are a given. Adele’s eager to learn and responds well to guidance. Walks, new adventures, and plenty of affection win her over fast. Adele does best with respectful, older kids (per policy, no families with children under 6). She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet her new people. If you’re looking for a loyal, spirited companion who will keep you moving and laughing, Adele could be your match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Adele, being a shepherd and terrier mix, generally does well in homes that offer space to run and a family invested in daily activity and training. She'll adapt best to a house with a fenced yard where she can play safely.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Shepherd and terrier mixes like Adele have plenty of energy and really benefit from a backyard or access to safe, open areas to burn off steam. Daily walks and playtime in a secure outdoor space suit her needs well.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While Adele loves affection and play, shepherd/terrier mixes can be excitable as puppies. For Adele specifically, adoption is not considered for families with children under 6, but older, respectful children can be a great fit as she matures.
