About Aggie

Aggie was found hit by a car on the side of a highway overpass in Austin, TX. Even though this girl has gone through so much trauma in her short life, she loves with her entire being. Expect morning tackles into a full belly rub and happy spins every time you go on an adventure together. She's always up for an adventure and wants to be right by your side doing whatever you're doing—she's incredibly playful and will follow you from room to room just soaking up your companionship. Aggie has a huge ball drive and goes absolutely crazy for balls. If you're looking for a pup who loves to play fetch and engage in games, she's your girl. The universe had to bring her down to 3 legs because she was too powerful with 4 legs. This means she needs shorter walks and more mental stimulation to tire her out. Her ideal home would be with another large dog that can hold their own with her breed's herding tendencies—like her current foster sibling Tilly, who weren't on the best terms at first but now play nonstop and are just so silly together. Or she could thrive as a solo dog where she can soak in your love. She is small, but mighty. Aggie does require a person who is willing to continue working with her to help her feel safe and build trust. A secure fenced yard is essential for this girl so she can safely play, run, and burn off that energy. With some time, patience, and dedication she will give you her all. We don't know what the first 4 years of her life held. We know that she's weary of people when she first meets them and needs slow introductions. She's crate trained, potty trained, walks fantastic on a leash, and has solid recall. She still has nightmares and can be startled when that happens. She loves car rides and walks and pup cups and chasing squirrels. This girl deserves the world, and she'll give you hers. To schedule a meet and greet, please send an inquiry and fill out an adoption application, which can be easily found at www.jackjackspack.org/adopt Once your application has been approved, a member of our team will contact you to schedule a phone interview and a meet-and-greet. This process can take up to 10 days as we are volunteer run. Please keep in mind that we select the best-qualified applicants based on the needs of both the dog and the applicant.
