About Maddie

Maddie is in need of someone willing to take a chance on her. After spending a decade in her previous home, she now finds herself confined to a small kennel and struggling to understand why, which has made the transition especially tough. Maddie is adjusting poorly to shelter life—losing her space and being put on a diet haven't helped—but she still shows glimpses of her affectionate side. She may rub up against your legs and lean into pets during her more comfortable moments. Her previous owner described her as picky with people but also very loving when she trusts you, a trait the staff has observed as well. Maddie has previously lived with a dog and multiple cats, as well as a small child, and did well with slow introductions. She’s not currently on display in the Cat Adopt room, but she's ready for adoption and looking for a gentle space to decompress and rediscover herself. Maddie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and, despite being on a weight loss journey she doesn’t enjoy, she’s ready for a fresh start. If you’re looking to truly change a cat’s life, ask to meet Maddie by name—the sooner she gets out, the happier she’ll be. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
