Booty and Bean are a bonded pair looking for a home together. Booty is an 8-year-old male chocolate beagle—neutered, microchipped, crate and potty trained, and generally easygoing. He’s classic beagle: loud bark, always on the trail of a squirrel, happiest with space to run or a good spot on the couch for napping and cuddling. He’s not aggressive and gets along with animals in general, but past run-ins have made him wary of dog parks or crowded dog spaces. Booty is especially devoted to Bean, his best friend. Bean is a 7-year-old spayed female pug/chihuahua mix. She’s laid-back, prefers being indoors but enjoys a safe yard for running around with Booty. Like him, she’s crate and potty trained, and relatively quiet inside; she’ll bark outside when something gets her attention but settles in easily. While she’s more wary of other animals and would rather not share a home with cats, she’s never shown aggression. Both dogs are good with children and have lived peacefully with chickens, but a home with older kids or adults would probably be most comfortable for them. They aren’t interested in dominating the local dog scene, so a quieter home without a lot of other pets is best, and a fenced yard would make these two happiest.
