About Courtesy Listing Lucky

**COURTESY LISTING: Lucky is not at HSoP, if you are interested in adoption, please contact Ashli 253-533-0402. Texts work best.** This is Lucky! She is a very happy and friendly senior girl looking for a loving home to finish out her golden years. She is a pitbull mix about 9 years old. Exact age is unsure because of her previous living situation. She had been spayed but no other veterinary care had been provided for most of her life. They took her in and had intended to keep her, unfortunately she wants to chase and attack their cats. This not being very fair to their cats, they are having to choose to rehome her. She is ABSOLUTELY fantastic with other dogs, people and children of all ages. She just cannot be in a home with cats. If you are looking for an amazing companion that just wants to spend time with you- She is your girl!!! The current home's biggest goal was getting her into the vet and making sure to get her healthy. She is now up to date on all of her vaccinations. She had a mass cell tumor removed off of her right shoulder. The vet said that they were able to get all of the margins so she is now cancer free!!! Lucky was diagnosed with allergies and hypothyroidism. The hypothyroidism is controlled well with her medication that costs about $30 a month. Because of her allergies and history with having a mass cell tumor, she gets 3 Benadryl with breakfast and dinner. That can be purchased for $5 at Costco that lasts a few months. She is currently on another allergy supplement, Dermaquin, as well as a joint supplement Dasaquin. Probably the most important thing is that she has to be on a prescription hydrolized diet to control allergies and skin issues. Right now she is currently on Royal Canin Ultimino, which the vet considered the highest quality option. It is quite expensive at $150 a month, however, there are a couple of other less expensive options from Purina Pro Plan and Hill’s Science diet. The current home wants to make sure she is rehomed to someone that wants to continue the care that they have started with her. For this reason they are asking for a $200 rehoming fee. They will provide a kennel, bed, blanket, harness, leash and other toys and goodies to whomever decides to take her. She is an absolute love bug! And after the life she has had she deserves the best home to finish out these golden years.
