ABOUT TOMMY Meet Tommy! This sweet and handsome boy came to HAP from a high-intake shelter down South when they no longer had space for him. While adjusting to shelter life has been challenging, with structure and training, Tommy's true personality has been able to shine! Tommy is the kind of dog who fills your heart the moment you meet him. He's endlessly loyal, incredibly loving, and has the goofiest personality. Whether you've been gone for an hour or just a minute, Tommy will greet you the same way every time, with happy tail wags and plenty of face kisses. He loves playing fetch, tossing around his toys, and can even keep himself entertained if you're busy. When it's time to unwind, Tommy is all about cuddling up, whether that's a full-on couch cuddle puddle or curling up beside you for a nap. Tommy is both crate-trained and house-trained, and he knows all his basic commands: sit, stay, wait, place, crate, and leave it. He's also a polite eater who will patiently wait for your cue before digging in. He enjoys car rides and would love to join you on any adventure. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
