About Bernie
Bernie has survived a tough journey. Three days in the ICU, two blood transfusions, and months of slow recovery—the odds were stacked against him, but now he's ready for a place to call his own. Bernie arrived needing urgent medical care and, after a whirlwind of hospital time, revealed himself to be a gentle, affectionate soul. He’s the kind of cat who soaks up love, doesn’t mind being picked up, and will drop everything for a bit of catnip. Bernie's social, comfortable with other cats, and even managed to win over the most stubborn feline in the house. His story isn’t just about hardship. After being diagnosed with a severe case of mycoplasma, Bernie took it all in stride—enduring more medication and care than most cats ever will. He’s now neutered, up to date on his vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Short-haired and large, Bernie’s looking for a family that will give him the loving, safe space he deserves. He’s fully house trained and appreciates every moment of attention after such a battle. Give Bernie his fresh start. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
