Poppy is a small, sweet beagle who recently wrapped up her busy job as a mom caring for seven puppies. She came into foster care scared and extremely pregnant but found comfort quickly; within a few days, she melted for human affection and transformed into a true cuddler. Poppy now seeks out snuggles and loves her soft stuffy toys, often collecting them wherever she settles. She thrives around other dogs and actually prefers their company—she’d be happiest in a home with another friendly canine companion. She’s not used to being left alone for hours and would do best in a home where people are around most of the time. House training is coming along; she can ring a bell when she needs to go outside and has learned to calmly settle during family meals. Poppy is still young herself—about two years old—and is eager to get back to enjoying life, play, and gentle company. She’s learning the joys of human routines and would love a family with the time to help her keep growing in confidence. She hasn’t met cats or children yet, but her heart is open.
