About Mildred
Click apply to start the adoption process. Millie, affectionately known as Mildred, is a sweet senior Beagle who is slowly blossoming in her foster home. At 13 years and 4 months old, she adores the company of other dogs, finding both confidence and comfort in their presence. Mildred loves the simple joys of life: cuddling up next to her canine companions, lounging on a comfy couch, sniffing around the yard with her nose to the ground, and, of course, enjoying her favorite treats. This gentle girl is still learning that human touch can be safe; she's a bit shy and easily spooked, especially when it comes to being held. Because of her calm nature, she prefers a quiet home without children, where she can take her time gaining trust in her new family. Mildred is trustworthy in the house and does her business in the fenced yard, sometimes using a pee pad at night. She recently found her Beagle voice and delights in letting you know when breakfast is late or interesting sounds catch her attention outside. Mildred doesn’t require much—just a soft bed, a safe space to relax, and loving patience as she settles in. If you have a gentle, treat-filled home with one or two friendly dogs, she would be thrilled to join your family. Plus, as a Pisces (born March 5th), she's sure to add a sensitive, sweet-hearted presence to your life—all she needs is a chance. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
