Meet Bougie! Bougie is for the person who wants a cat with personality and "pizazz." She is incredibly curious and wants to be involved in everything you do-perhaps supervising your morning coffee to helping you pick out your outfit for the day. She isn't just a pet; she's a lifestyle upgrade. Bougie is a cat who has truly been through the wringer, yet she continues to carry herself with grace. She originally arrived as part of a group of six, only for our medical team to discover that one of her companions was positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). This began a long, anxious 45-day wait for Bougie and four others as they remained in the "exposed" phase. We are thrilled to share that after rigorous follow-up testing, Bougie has officially been confirmed FeLV negative! However, her journey didn't stop there. During her stay, she began feeling under the weather, leading our medical team to suspect she might be battling Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). While she isn't currently showing symptoms, she is a little fighter who has already overcome so much. Because we want to ensure she is 100% in the clear, our medical team is monitoring her closely for the next 2-3 weeks to confirm her health status. In the meantime, Bougie is looking for a special "foster-to-adopt" home. This means she can move into a cozy, loving environment now while remaining under our medical umbrella until she receives her final clean bill of health. While some cats are shy, Bougie is a socialite through and through. She doesn't hide in the shadows; she stays front and center, elegantly waiting for her next fan to stop by for a chat and a chin scratch. Bougie is spayed, up-to-date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations and is FIV and FeLV negative. Bougie is currently staying at our Heartland Facility!
