About Bean Pie
Bean Pie strutted into rescue life after being found parading around a parking lot with all the confidence in the world. Recently returned when his adopter couldn’t keep up due to health issues, he's now looking for a place to call home again. This compact, 45-pound mix of Boston Terrier and Boxer packs a lot of personality—attitude, humor, and a soft spot for lizard hunting and couch cuddling. Bean Pie thrives on car rides, chewing his favorite bone, and getting plenty of affection. Trucks get him barking, and outings can be a bit lively, as his leash skills still need polishing. He’s used to free roam inside and tends to nap when alone, but his sharp mind means you’ll want to be careful with open doors. Bean Pie is selective about his canine company and should be the only dog, or matched with a similar-sized, compatible dog. No small pets or children—he can get mouthy when excited, so a calm, experienced adult home is the best fit. He manages a partial cruciate ligament tear, which sometimes causes a limp if he overdoes it, but this is quite manageable with rest and basic care at home. If surgery is needed down the line, H.A.L.O. will cover the cost, provided you can support his recovery. A foster-to-adopt setup is welcome for those willing to help him heal. If you want a pet who’s entertaining, clever, and affectionate—and you don’t mind keeping the pace slow—Bean Pie could be your perfect match. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
