She arrived at her rescue after being abandoned with a large mass on her stomach, but after successful surgery and lots of love in her foster home, she’s now thriving and ready for her forever family. Piper is an incredibly sweet and affectionate companion who bonds deeply with her favorite human. If you work from home, she will gladly spend the day snoozing nearby in a pet bed. While she enjoys toys and can entertain herself, Piper’s greatest joy comes from being with her person—she simply adores sharing mealtimes and snacks with you, often gazing up with the best “I’m starving” eyes, likely a carryover from her previous home. She walks well on a harness and leash, and although she can coexist with other dogs, Piper would much prefer being the only pup so she can soak up all your attention. Her favorite spot to sleep is right in bed with you, snuggled under the covers. Piper is making progress on house training, especially with routine trips outside every 3-4 hours, so a home where someone is present most of the time will help her continue learning. One of Piper’s cute quirks is carrying your shoes to bed—not to chew, just to feel close to you—a loving sign of her unique personality. Piper is looking for a patient, loving family willing to let her be their devoted shadow and best friend. Piper has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, tested heartworm negative, has a microchip, and recently had her teeth cleaned. She is being fostered in the Orlando area.
