About Peanut Butter

Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Peanut Butter, a tiny old soul with a big personality and a heart that refuses to be overlooked. At 14 years young, this chihuahua mix escaped a sad fate thanks to the care and attention of devoted volunteers who saw something special in his wise little eyes. Peanut Butter is truly a "two-sides-of-the-coin" gentleman—sometimes a grumbly old man with his opinions, but just as often a sweet, sleepy snuggler nestled calmly in your lap. His charm shines in those moments of contrast! He’s clear about his boundaries: Peanut Butter doesn't enjoy being picked up and may offer a quick nip if he feels uncomfortable. Collars and harnesses are not his style, so a securely fenced yard is essential for his outdoor time. Indoors, he mostly uses pee pads and occasionally asks to go outside, and he’s good with calm, respectful dogs that value his senior space. Peanut Butter belongs in a quiet, adult-only home with someone who truly appreciates his quirks. If you meet him where he’s comfortable, you’ll soon enjoy a loyal companion happy to curl up and snooze at your side. Even bath time brings out his softer side when he’s handled with gentle patience and understanding. He’s the perfect match for someone who values character, quiet companionship, and the unique love only a senior dog can provide. Fun fact: Born under the sign of Aquarius, Peanut Butter might charm you with his independent spirit and surprising tenderness. Make their next chapter their best one yet. All current pets in your home must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. This rescue adopts only in Florida. Thank you for supporting dogs in need.

Questions about Peanut Butter

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Chihuahuas and chihuahua mixes thrive in quiet homes, whether apartments or houses, where they feel secure. They do best in households that offer a stable routine and gentle care.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

This breed doesn't require a large yard; short strolls or supervised time in a small, secure outdoor area are usually enough. Indoor play also satisfies their activity needs.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Chihuahuas are best suited for homes with adults or older, respectful children, as their small size and sensitivity can make them uncomfortable around active young kids.
