Meet our baby girl Carla! Or as I like to call her, Carlita. Or precious angel. Carla is a playful puppy at about 2.5 years old. She is new to ELO and we are already seeing her THRIVE Carla hasn't been with ELO for long but this is what we know. She's perfect. And if that isn't enough for you... She also walks great on a leash and is so curious. She loves to sniff! She may pull at other dogs but is easily redirected. She just gets excited and wants to meet them. She's friendly towards them! Carla loves to cuddle and is such a couch potato. After being in foster care for just a few days, she already shows love to her person. She will follow you around the house to be near you! She also does really well with other people in the house! Carla is doing a fantastic job with crate training. She's already choosing the crate on her own. She may whine for just a couple of minutes after you leave or after you go to bed. But she settles really quickly and then doesn't make a peep! Carla is house broken! Since settling into foster care, she has only gone outside. Carla came to ELO as the longest resident at AHS Newark. (Which boggles my mind!) She was labeled hyperactive and reactive in the shelter, but that is FAR from the truth in foster care. She just needed a couple days to decompress and she is literally falling asleep on the couch as we speak. She was in the shelter for over 200 days and didn't have the opportunity to ever truly rest. She is doing so well in foster care and is so excited to continue exploring the world outside the shelter in her forever home! If you're looking for the sweetest most gentle loving dog, Carla is your girl!! She is so ready to be in a loving home after spending so much time with no adoption interest because of incorrect labels. Like I said before, she's a precious angel!
