Adoption fee: $650 Meet Halo — your snuggly, soulful shadow with the sweetest heart At just 6 months old and around 30 pounds, Halo is a young Boxer with a gentle spirit, a goofy streak, and a whole lot of love to give. Rescued alongside her brother Skyler, Halo is still learning about the world after a sheltered start— but what shines through immediately is her deep devotion to her people and her irresistible, affectionate nature. A Soft-Hearted Snuggle Expert Halo is, at her core, a total love bug. She doesn’t just sit next to you— she leans into you with her whole body, happily doubling as a living, breathing body pillow. She gives the kind of hugs that melt your stress away and has a way of snuggling in that makes you feel like the most important person in the world. Whether it’s curling up on the couch or sneaking in morning cuddles, affection is her love language. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long before her true self comes through. Underneath that initial hesitation is a deeply affectionate, people-loving pup who just wants to feel safe and connected. Playful, Silly, and Endearingly Clumsy Halo is all long legs and growing into herself, which means she’s got that adorable, slightly clumsy puppy energy. She’s expressive, animated, and full of personality— her goofy faces alone are enough to make you laugh daily. She enjoys toys, a good chew session, and the occasional (and unapologetic) stolen shoe. While she loves to play, she’ll almost always choose pets and cuddles over anything else. A Gentle Soul Learning the World Halo is still figuring things out. Walks can feel a little overwhelming, and she sometimes needs encouragement to explore. She truly blossoms with a confident dog friend by her side— having a buddy helps her feel safe and shows her that the world isn’t such a scary place. In doggy playgroups, Halo has already made incredible progress. Though she may start off nervous, she warms up quickly, joining in the fun and making both dog and human friends. If she gets overwhelmed, she simply checks back in with her person— often sitting sweetly on your feet for reassurance— before heading right back out to try again. Her resilience and willingness to keep trying are really special. Her Daily Routine Halo starts her day around 6:30am with a potty break, followed by her favorite part of the morning— snuggling in bed until about 8. She’s in no rush to start the day and will happily seek out anyone still lounging for extra cuddles. She eats at her own pace, often grazing through the morning and finishing around lunchtime after some light activity. While not highly food-motivated just yet, she does love treats like cheese and peanut butter— and she’s more enthusiastic about meals when other dogs are around. At night, she sleeps quietly in her crate beside the bed, though she makes it very clear she’d much prefer to be tucked under the covers with you, complete with dramatic sighs and those signature puppy eyes. The Perfect Home for Halo Halo would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands she’s still building confidence. A home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog would be ideal to help guide her and show her the ropes. Most of all, she’s looking for someone who appreciates a sensitive, affectionate companion and is ready to continue helping her grow. Halo is the kind of dog who bonds deeply, loves fully, and tries her best every single day. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, slightly goofy best friend who will lean into you— literally and figuratively— Halo might just be your perfect match.
