Hi! My name is Penny and I am looking for a forever home. I was surrendered to a small rescue after my previous owners decided I was no longer wanted. A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes! I appear to be what some folks call a "chi-weenie"... part chihuahua and part dachshund. Whatever I actually am, my foster mom says I'm super cute with my radar-type ears and have a wonderful personality to match as I love everyone. I am only about 10mos old and currently weigh in at 11.50lbs so not expected to get too much bigger. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and haven't bothered the cats (they're about my size but I'm shorter than them!). I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding although I would prefer to be out with you. I have even shared my crate with my young friend McCoy without any issues, even when he tries to steal my food. I am doing ok on a leash as it means I get to be out and about with you.
