Amara

About Amara
Amara (pink collar) and her brother Sol ended up abandoned in a Texas park, but haven’t lost their sweet, sunny nature. Both are petite and thrive on spending time outside when the weather’s warm, curling up together indoors once the chill sets in. Amara, the quieter and more reserved sibling, often looks to Sol for cues and takes her time getting comfortable. Once she feels safe, she comes up for petting and affection. Amara is gentle and small, her personality understated but full of warmth. These two make a lively pair—small but spirited, each with a unique spark. Ideally, they’d find a home together. Amara does well with other dogs around her size if properly introduced, but isn’t suited for a household with cats. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Amara
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Amara, as a Chihuahua, thrives in cozy homes or apartments where she can bond closely with her people. Her small size fits well in urban or suburban settings, especially with plenty of lap and snuggle time.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas like Amara don’t require much outdoor space—a small fenced yard or daily walks suit her energy level. Supervised time outside to explore and feel the sun is perfect, but she’s happiest when close to family.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas, including Amara, tend to do best with older, gentle children who understand her small size and shy personality. They can be good family dogs in calm, respectful households.
