About Asha
Asha is a 1-year-old Akita Husky mix who found herself in a tough spot when a family member brought her home without permission and later abandoned her. She’s living in an apartment now, but it’s clear this energetic, intelligent girl needs more space to thrive. Asha weighs about 72 pounds, with the potential to reach up to 120, and she’s not fully leash or potty trained yet. She has some experience around kids, yet she does best with older, respectful children or in a home without little ones. Asha prefers to be the only dog in the house and does not get along with cats. She needs an adopter who understands both the Husky and Akita mindset—someone with a securely fenced yard and experience with strong, independent breeds. Apartment life simply isn’t a fit for her; she craves room to run and someone who will put in the time for training. Asha is a remarkable dog and will reward the right person with loyalty and love. Fun fact: With a birthday of June 16, Asha is a Gemini, a sign known for energy and curiosity! Think you are the one? Submit an application!
