She is friendly with people and does not show fear when meeting new handlers, but she can become very excited very quickly. Personality Acacia is a social and engaging dog who is very interested in interacting with people. She often approaches handlers readily and enjoys attention, but she can become overstimulated and very wiggly in her excitement. Out and About On leash, Acacia walks with moderate pulling and does not show reactivity toward people or other dogs. She is highly energetic and tends to move with a lot of enthusiasm. She enjoys being active and engaged with her handler and will benefit from continued leash training to help her build more control and focus during walks. Social Behavior Acacia is very people focused and will approach readily when called. She can become very excited during interaction and may jump up persistently or have difficulty staying settled. She tolerates handling but becomes over aroused quickly, showing behaviors like jumping and mouthy excitement. She is eager to connect but needs support learning impulse control and calm greetings. Play and Enrichment Acacia enjoys toys and will engage with them, especially when she is able to release some of her energy. She benefits from structured enrichment activities that help her stay mentally and physically engaged. Things like long lasting chews, food puzzles, and interactive games such as hide and seek will be very helpful for her. My Ideal Home Acacia will do best in an active and structured home that can provide daily physical exercise along with mental stimulation. She needs guidance, consistency, and patience as she learns how to manage her excitement. She is not a calm couch companion at this time, but she has great potential with the right support system. Living with Kids Due to her high energy level and low threshold for arousal, Acacia would do best in a home without children under 13.
