About Luna
Start your journey together! Apply now. Cute and cuddly perfectly describe sweet Luna, a young Shetland Sheepdog/Sheltie who has adapted beautifully to her foster environment. Luna is a petite girl with a playful, high-energy spirit who delights in racing around with her much larger collie foster siblings, joyfully exploring the yard and engaging in lively games of chase. Given her active personality, Luna may especially enjoy a home where she has another energetic dog companion. Luna is working hard on her manners, especially with doorway safety, as she tends to be quick to make a dash outside. Her foster is teaching her the "wait" command, and Luna’s treat motivation is helping her master that along with "quiet," "down," "off," and "stay," skills she is strengthening every day. Though a bit reserved and curious with new people initially, Luna warms up quickly and forms bonds with her humans. She patiently waits for her loved ones, often sitting calmly until they return, and greets them with her signature “happy dance” from her crate, filled with affectionate enthusiasm. Luna even enjoys being held and carried, transitioning beautifully between bursts of activity and cuddly downtime. From dashing around the yard to slowing down for snuggles, Luna is a loving companion ready to thrive in a forever home that supports her growth and playful nature. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
