Abbott, along with his brother Costello, had a tough start in life but has made an impressive turnaround. Born around May 20, 2024, Abbott is a handsome gray tabby who spent his earliest days fighting through illness and undernourishment. After being surrendered by someone doing their best under difficult conditions, Abbott received intensive care and a rich diet to help him catch up. Though he and his brother faced stomach sensitivities and setbacks, Abbott is now healthy, though certain foods might still bother him. At first, Abbott tends to be shy and prefers to approach on his own terms. He warms up for treats and feeds off the presence of his brother, Costello, with whom he shares a close bond. In a busy foster environment, Abbott often seeks out his brother for comfort or play. Ideally, Abbott and Costello would head to their new home together. Abbott will need time, patience, and a calm setting (with fewer cats around) to feel fully at ease. He has been neutered and is up to date on vaccinations.
