About Aleki
Aleki escaped San Antonio’s highest-kill shelter after being mislabeled as older than he actually was. In reality, he’s around 3 years old and only just stopped growing. Aleki is a husky with striking bicolor markings and a medium coat—equal parts stunning and bold. He’s an alert, playful dog, but his dominant streak means he needs someone who can handle and guide him with confidence. His new name, fittingly, means protector and defender, which suits his loyal and watchful nature. Aleki thrives with an active owner who’s willing to give him quality time and leadership. In exchange, he’ll be your constant companion and fiercest supporter. Aleki must be your only pet—he does not get along with other cats or dogs. He’s house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Serious adopters only are encouraged to reach out. Aleki is in Old Westbury, NY and is ready for someone who matches his energy and drive. Your new best friend is just one click away.
