Howdy folks! I am a pretty black & white female Labrador Retriever/Terrier mix named Nugget with soft, velvety ears that beg to be rubbed, LOL! I am about 5 years old, weigh 48 lbs, and I was dumped at a middle school in San Antonio, Texas, with a bag of dog food and a wire kennel. Thankfully, I was in my element with all the kids petting and playing with me, and I’m the type of girl with a happy and energetic spirit, so when a dog rescue picked me up, I adjusted easily. These days, I am living in a foster home, having some fun with the resident dogs, kids, and visitors. I am now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a new adventure to find a forever family that will last forever! My foster mom reports that I am a very sweet and friendly girl, and I make friends easily with everyone. I love playtime, tug-of-war, running, and wrestling, and am a bit of a rough player. I love my people and am super affectionate, and would love to be included in family activities such as walks to the park, hiking, camping, social gatherings, road trips, and fun at the beach. The world is my oyster, and I am already dreaming of all the fun we could share! I’m a smart girl, rarely bark, already housebroken, not destructive, and I would love to have some chew toys or puzzle toys for something to do when home alone. I know some basic commands, am crate-trained, good in a crate, and that’s where I currently sleep and stay when home alone in my foster home. I will cry at first when left behind, but will settle down quickly and chew on a toy or take a nap while I wait for your return. Overall, I am a happy, friendly, loyal, sweetheart of a girl, looking for love and that wonderful feeling of belonging.
